More on the newly revealed Atsu/Onoe relationship news. I’ve bundled the info courtesy of the @AKB48WarpUp Twitter.
According to Sponichi, Acchan has been in relationship with Onoe Matsuya since March, 2013. They met with each other through introduction by friends.
Her friends told the paper Acchan told her she “wants to go to Disney Land with him, but is unable to do because it would drive Disney visitors insane”.
Kabuki actor Ichikawa Ebizo also mentioned the two’s relationship on his blog this morning. He wrote “I didn’t know Matsuya is in relationship with Acchan lol When I met him at backstage last time, I kinda think he was with another girl… lol Just saying lol Anyways this is funny~ They’re still young.Experience lots of crazy things!”
In September 2012, when she had dinner with an actor (not Matsuya) and told him “I don’t want people to think I quit AKB48 to enjoy romance. If I made my fans think that way, I would feel very sorry for them.” She’s been hinting the relationship through her remarks about NHK’s drama “Asaki Yumemishi”, which stars her. “The more forbidden it is, the more I want it. When people around you say ‘Avoid that man!,’ you start liking him all the more… I can feel this.”
Maeda went to watch the stage play “Romeo and Juliet” starring Onoe Matsuya. Her friend says Maeda “often cooks for him” and in TV show “Shin Domoto Kyodai”, Maeda said “Latey I’m really enjoying cooking.” (Note: She also mentioned that she very strong hopes for getting married soon.)
Channel 2 commented on the relationship, saying, “He looks like a plausible man, and has an established career plus most of her fans has been preparing for this kind of news. Don’t think this will do much harm to her popularity.”
They continue, “‘Tamako’ will hit the screen soon. He’ll start a new Kabuki show in October and he so happened to appear at the press event for the show yesterday.”
"I think Akimoto Yasushi knew this already. He probably took the idea for the lyrics to ‘Time Machine nante Iranai’ from her relationship."
